					We were in Carmel Valley to attend  a wedding.  Hidden Valley Inn was clean and comfortable.  The photos on their website are accurate, it's a lovely little place.  Be sure to get a pastry in the morning, they are excellent.  The staff is friendly, they took good care of us.

					Excellent, quiet, calm, tasteful. VERY nice, quiet hotel, in the middle of sheltered Carmel Valley, right next to lots of good eateries.( 150 metres walk)  Most of the ground level rooms ( and most of the place IS ground level) have their own ‘ mini-patio’/ terrace , towards the big, pleasant inner lawn ( with heated swimming pool on one end and shady trees on the other) Rooms are modern and tastefully furnished, with even a built- in fireplace.  Limited breakfast, with good coffee and excellent pastry. You MUST reserve in advance, if only for the fact that the front office is not manned after five p.m. Parking right in front of your little entrance hall. Not the cheapest place, but certainly not the most expensive, either - and one of the very best.

					Our New Favorite Spot for Couples This hotel was most excellent for our needs. We stayed Sunday night for a little date get-away and it was the perfect location (walkable to dinner at hte village), has a lovely heated pool, delicious morning pastries, fabulous coffee in the room, comfy beds, chic design, ample parking, quiet surroundings, beautiful views, relaxing patio with table/chairs, friendly staff and much more (great ice tea by the pool also). It wasn't very crowded so the property was very quiet and we sat with hummingbirds fluttering all around us while we enjoyed the patio and pool areas.  I only found three downsides: in the room was no full length mirror, so I wasn't sure how good I looked when dressing for dinner,  there is no mini fridge to store the yummy leftovers from dinner and while the pool  was lightly heated, there is no hot tub on the property which would be nice in the cooler months.  We would stay here again and look forward to.

					perfekt stay Very nicely located with a great view of the pool and mountains. Rooms are very spacious with a small coffee machine and a terrace to enjoy your coffee. Beds super comfortable and bathrooms very well equipped and very clean. For breakfast, tea and coffee and delicious sweet and savory pieces. Ice tea and water were always available. 100% recommendation, we would have liked to have stayed longer.
